Welcome to Go Away Farm

Some 31 years ago, Mikki and I discovered our little slice of paradise. What was a serene and lovely piece of central Texas quickly became a ton of work as we added a conference center and other amenities. Today, the farm has a Belted Galloway-Angus mixed breed cattle, laying hens and honey bees. In 2008, we decided to go organic. We soon became overwhelmed with the reality that the pasture grasses only grew because of annually applied herbicides, artificial fertilizers, and pesticides. The soil was essentially dead of all-natural nutrients, stripped by many years of fertilizing. We moved to a system of fertilization by Growing Solutions, applying compost tea three to four times annually. Over several years, we started seeing signs of life returning to the soil. Today, some 16 years later, we are fully organic except for the occasional fire-ant mound we need to eradicate.  Today, we are pesticide, artificial fertilizer, herbicide, and antibiotic-free 

We have a Kingdom-dedicated, peaceful place to think, work and reflect. Go Away Farm is just 1.5 hours by car from Houston’s Intercontinental Airport. The conference center has an intimate setting for 12 participants in the meeting room and over 25 ft of marker board that we typically fill. We ensure you are well-fed and well-rested and that we experience the art of intense discovery and learning together.
